YOU can Affect Key Decisions in Your Industry!
Whether you are a final period apprentice, an employer working in the related industry or a certified journeyperson working in the designated trades or occupations, there are many ways for you to become involved with the Apprenticeship and Industry Training (AIT) system.
Industry committees make recommendations to the Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training Board regarding the designation of trades or occupations, setting standards for skills and competencies required for certification, assisting with the development of technical training course outlines, developing competency profiles and the recognition of related training or certification required to be successful in a trade or occupation. There are three types of industry committees that welcome your participation, depending on your trade or occupational experience: Local, Provincial & Occupational Committees.
This is a fantastic opportunity for you to engage with other members of your industry from across Alberta, each dedicated to improving their designated trade or occupation.
