The CWB Group at a Glance:

The CWB (Canadian Welding Bureau)-
Formed in 1947 to administer the then, new W47.1 welding standard for structural steel. The CWB has today expanded its scope well beyond the original structural steel roots and is accredited by the Standards Council of Canada as a Certification Body for the administration of CSA Standards including W47.1, W47.2, W55.3, W186, W178.1 and W48 to industries across Canada and internationally for :

 Certification of companies involved in welding
 Certification of Welding Inspection Companies
 Certification of Welding Inspectors
 Certification of Welding Electrodes

The CWB qualifies welders, welding procedures as well as providing comprehensive training courses and products through the CWB Learning Centre. The activity of the CWB contributes to the high level of competence enjoyed by industries employing welding and joining and the consistent progress in welding technology, and the reliability of welded products.

The CWA (Canadian Welding Association)-
The Canadian Welding Association (CWA) is a not-for-profit division of the CWB Group and is a membership driven association, mandated to promoting and supporting the welding and joining industry in Canada. The CWA is represented throughout Canada by a loyal Chapter membership of over 4500 professionals and companies in the welding and joining industry.

The CWA continues to engage and educate industry, government agencies, educational institutions and the general public about the opportunities and importance of welding and joining in Canada, and to provide tangible support, through the welding job portal, seminars, fund-raising, video presentations, publications such as newsletters and the CWA Journal, tradeshows and conferences, as well plant tours and workshops.


INTEG-
Since 1990, INTEG has provided training courses for individuals seeking certification in Non Destructive Testing (NDT) disciplines. INTEG became part of the CWB Group in January 2010 and complements the visual welding inspection training and certification programs currently offered by the CWB Group. INTEG provides training by recognized experts in their field with extensive theoretical knowledge and practical experience.
