History:
Schendel Mechanical Contracting Ltd. is an established and successful family owned and operated contracting company. Incorporated in 1982, Schendel Mechanical has grown to be one of Alberta's major mechanical contractors with expertise in the commercial, institutional and light industrial/municipal construction market.

From central offices, a large fabrication facility and plant located in west Edmonton, Schendel Mechanical efficiently serves the Edmonton and Northern Alberta construction industry. Schendel has also successfully completed some large and long-term mechanical contracts in Southern Alberta, British Columbia Yukon and Nunavut, including water and wastewater treatment plants and hospital projects.

Schendel Mechanical Contracting Ltd. steadily employs between 120 to 180 construction plumbers, pipefitters, welders, and apprentices. A staff of pipefitters and welders are also employed in the fully equipped fabrication shop producing piping spools and prefabricated mechanical assemblies.

Many Schendel employees have successfully served their apprenticeships with this company to become highly skilled journeymen tradesmen, foremen, and project superintendents. The company recognizes that training and education are essential for the development of skilled workers required in the mechanical construction industry.
