History:
The Sheet Metal Contractors Association of Alberta (SMCAA) is a chapter of the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors' National Association (SMACNA).
SMCAA:
 - Is a provincial association with membership in Calgary, Edmonton, Camrose, Nisku, Sherwood Park, Red Deer, Sylvan Lake, Airdrie, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat and Redcliff
 - Is an Association of fellow contractors, suppliers and manufacturers that lobbies for changes and issues that affect its members and the HVAC industry
 - Gets involved with local and provincial government with regards to code changes, permits, standards of practice, legal issues. Etc. Without SMCAA these issues would be forced on industry without any consultation and with little recourse to change them.
