Verifying a Trade Certificate
Employers who have questions about a trade certificate should verify them through the issuing jurisdiction.
Recommended Steps:
- Get the certificate holder’s written permission to request verification.
- Confirm their legal name (spelled correctly) and date of birth.
- Photocopy both sides of the certificate.
- Fax the information to the issuing province or territory and request official verification.
If the issuing province or territory informs you the certificate does not appear to be authentic, contact us.
