For Designated Occupations
Alberta certifies and offers training in nine designated occupations. Each requirement for certification and training varies depending on industry standards. Occupation applicants need to read the Occupational Certificate Guide related to the occupation they are interested in before applying.
Note: Industrial Construction Crew Supervisor applicants for certification based on work experience must submit an ICCS Employer Assessment of Competency Form.
For Trade and Occupation Committees
You can stay active in Alberta’s apprenticeship system by joining a committee in your trade or occupation following certification.
