Foreign National Workers

Foreign national workers who are experienced tradespeople can participate in the Qualification Certificate - Work Experience program to receive certification in an Alberta-designated trade.

Information about living and working in Alberta can be found on the Opportunity Alberta webpage.

Alberta is committed to supporting employers in attracting, recruiting and retaining the workers they need by providing information and resources about accessing labour pools within Alberta, across Canada and around the world. Help for employers to identify and meet labour requirements can be found on the Alberta workforce contacts and employer resources webpage.

Visit the Work in Canada website for detailed information about working and living in Canada as a foreign national worker.

Are you a final-period apprentice, certified journeyperson, supervisor, employer, trainer, or member of a stakeholder organization with knowledge of one or more skilled trades or Alberta's apprenticeship system?

Join the My Skilled Trades Network and help shape the future of your trade!

Once you respond, we won't ask you again during this session.
