History:
The Sherwood Park Optimist Club, chartered in 1984, is a part of an international voluntary, service minded organization, founded in 1919.
Each club supports or participates in activities specific to their community, as well as programs sponsored by Optimist International, such as
Always Buckle Children in the Back Seat;
Childhood Cancer and Essay and Oratorical competitions.
Locally, the Sherwood Park Optimists has supported numerous sports programs and teams; school based programs, community aids, sponsorships Educational excursions, health aids, family support .
