History:
James Bernard Quinn was born in Smith Falls, Ontario on April 12th, 1933. He was involved in almost every aspect of each industry (such as hydroelectric projects, earthmoving, farming, mining, forestry, lumbering, and of course, the oil gas & petrochemical industry).
In 1970, Bernie Quinn founded Quinn Contracting Ltd. to provide construction and inspection services. Today Quinn Contracting Ltd. caters to the largest oil, gas and petrochemical producers currently operating in the Canadian marketplace. The Company has consistently expanded its operations and is now ranked one of Canada's Top 50 contractors. Our vision is to be the Premier Maintenance and Turnaround Contractor in Western Canada.
Bernie Quinn moved humbly throughout the communities, the province, and at times the country assisting individuals or organizations in need, without ever expecting anything in return.
It is therefore with great pride and honour that Quinn Contracting Ltd. offers the J.B. (Bernie) Quinn Memorial Scholarship to support young Albertans, our future workforce.
