Top Apprentice Award
They’re among the best of the best – Alberta apprentices who have demonstrated skill and dedication to their trade that puts them a step above their peers.
Nomination and award criteria
The Top Apprentice Awards honour the apprentices in each trade who achieved the highest overall marks in their final period of training, and received strong employer recommendations.
Each year Alberta identifies apprentices who scored the highest combined mark during the final period of apprenticeship training for the selection year.
Their employers are then contacted for an employer recommendation. If the employer recommendation complements the combined mark, that apprentice qualifies for a Top Apprentice Award.
Award presentation
Top Apprentice Awards are presented at the annual Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Awards of Excellence.
