Materials fee will increases to $77 per session. For most apprentices in an eight-week session, total fees will still be under $1,000 ($899 for tuition and $77 for materials/service fees).

Increases of 7 per cent annually were previously approved for apprenticeship technical training for three years from 2020/21 to 2022/23. This commitment is outlined in the Alberta Tuition Framework, which was publicly released in February 2020. 

Apprentices also pay for books, parking, student association fees, facility fees, material and consumables during their technical training. Click for additional enrolment information for specific training institutions.
