AIT Scholarships

Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training Scholarships recognize the excellence of Alberta apprentices and encourage recipients to complete their apprenticeship programs.  

These scholarships are valued at $1,000 each.

How to apply

If you consent to be considered and meet the award criteria, you could be selected. No application required!


Eligibility

To be considered for an Apprenticeship and Industry Training Scholarship, recipients must be both:

  • a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident, and
  • an Alberta resident as defined by the address on file in MyTradesecrets.

To be eligible for an Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training Scholarship in trades with only one period of classroom instruction, you must:

  • be registered as an Alberta apprentice, and
  • have passed your period exam between August 1 and July 31.

To be eligible for an Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training Scholarship in trades with more than one period of classroom instruction, you must:

  • be registered as an Alberta apprentice in a trade,
  • have passed or received credit for your first or subsequent period exam between August 1 and July 31, and
  • have at least one more period of classroom instruction remaining in your program.

Receiving your scholarship cheque

Cheques will be mailed by November 1 to the address in the recipient's MyTradesecrets profile.
