History:
Muth Electrical Management Inc. has as its mission statement: 'Wiring Excellence Into Everything We Do'. Electrical cable is a system of thin, flexible strands of metal, used to carry electric current or energy. It is this collective group of 'quality strands' that make Muth Electrical Management Inc. who we are. Every person is vital to create a strong team, and generate the positive energy that runs throughout the company.

Muth Electrical Management Inc. has grown from a husband and wife team, Don & Doreen Muth, working out of their Edmonton basement to a corporation with projects throughout the province of Alberta. This has all transpired since 1995. The keys to our success are outlined below.

'Wiring Excellence Into Everything We Do' begins with the quality people who make up the Muth team. Our team of 'excellent' employees at all levels, from the 1st year apprentice electrician, to Project Managers, to administrative staff, all of whom contribute to Muth Electrical's success. Muth Electrical Management Inc. believes that pride, mutual respect and recognition of achievements keep the 'Wiring Excellence Into Everything We Do' functioning. Employees must feel they are valued and Muth Electrical Management Inc. believes good communication is one key element. Communication creates relationships and tells employees they are valued.

Internal company awards are given out annually to recognize 'Excellence in apprenticeship skills', 'Excellence as a 1st year apprentice' and 'Growth as a foreman and leadership skills'. It is vital to encourage employees to always strive for excellence in their growth as part of the Muth team. A considerable portion of the company's budget is allocated to support employees in continuing to learn valuable skills that last a lifetime.

Smaller recognitions are also important to keep the energy flowing. Things such as a verbal 'good job' or a gift certificate that employees can use to make their personal life more enjoyable are given out as a thankyou. Muth Electrical Management Inc. plans various fun activities outside of work: a Family Picnic in the summer; an annual Golf Tournament with a BBQ; Fishing Trips; Ski Trips; Paintball; and an annual Christmas Banquet. Employees are treated to various tailgate barbeques and site lunches, as well as staff barbeques. The office staff enjoys a monthly luncheon in honor of all birthdays during that particular month.

Muth Electrical Management Inc. believes 'Wiring Excellence Into Everything We Do' is also important to relationships with our customers. Honesty and integrity are the foundation of our company. It is important to always do the right thing whether or not it is seen or appreciated. Wiring is flexible, but strong. It is not always easy to satisfy every customer all of the time, therefore Muth Electrical Management Inc. is flexible and works within a framework of accountability and professionalism. Completing projects to the standards expected and within the timeframes agreed upon is vital in this rapidly changing construction environment.

By pursuing excellence in relationships with employees, customers and suppliers Muth Electrical Management Inc. has grown from a home-office contractor to a corporation that has earned the opportunity to work on various projects throughout Alberta.
