History:
The Alberta Construction Safety Association (ACSA) is a non-profit organization funded and directed by its stakeholders. We are pleased to offer the ACSA Health and Safety Scholarship to eligible construction industry workers.

The membership of the Alberta Construction Safety Association (ACSA) consists of employers whose Alberta Workers' Compensation Board (WCB) accounts fall within allocated industry codes. Funding for the ACSA is provided by the membership through an arrangement with the WCB. Every employer in Alberta's construction industry who holds a valid account with the Workers' Compensation Board and who pays assessments into any allocated industry code is a member of the ACSA.

The ACSA was founded on November 9, 1988 - the date on which the ACSA was registered under The Societies Act as an independent, non-profit society. The Board of Directors is comprised of various construction associations and trade contractor associations. Provision has been made for representation on the Board from employers who are not involved in associations, as well as for worker representation. The ACSA is deeply committed to engaging with its stakeholders to ensure it is meeting industry's needs and expectations.

The Association consists of construction industry volunteers supported by a team of professionals based out of offices in Edmonton, Calgary and in Fort McMurray. All the people involved with the ACSA, from the origin of the idea to the present, share a common vision, that all workers live their lives safely.
