History:
The Thompson Family Foundation was established by Nancy and Joe Thompson and is administered by them and their three children: Scott, Mark and Shelley.

Joe was a civil engineer and has worked in construction all his life. As a project superintendent he worked closely with many tradesmen and has a great respect for their skills and contribution to building. Joe was the Chief Executive Officer at PCL construction Group from 1993 until 1997 when he became chairman of the Board.

Scott and Mark both worked as carpenter apprentices for three summers while they were taking construction engineering at Iowa State University, and they are now both pursing careers in construction.
