History:
Adolf Klingbeil was born in Poland and at a young age moved to Germany. There he worked as an apprentice from 1945-1948, eventually receiving his millwright certificate. In 1951, Adolf seized an opportunity to come to Canada where he soon began working in construction on projects in Alberta and British Columbia. Adolf went on to receive his journeyperson carpenter certificate in 1954.
In 1978, Adolf became a woodworking instructor at NAIT where he worked until his retirement in 1991. Adolf enjoyed his time as an instructor where he had the opportunity to teach a craft that earned him and his family a comfortable living.
Adolf wishes to see many young people enter the carpentry trade. He believes there is great satisfaction to look at a completed project and say 'wow, I had a hand in this'. Adolf wishes all apprentices best of luck in their studies.
