History:
Gerald Clark pursued his interest in electricity at an early age by enrolling in a full time electrical training program in high school. He completed his electrical apprenticeship in the Northwest Territories and worked on a variety of construction projects across Canada. For many years Gerald supervised and managed work in Ontario for an Alberta based electrical contractor. This trade and management experience led to international construction opportunities in Russia and China.
The construction industry has been good to Gerald over the years. His role as Human Resources Manager for Clark Builders combines a desire to see young people develop and succeed with a passion for construction. In this role he has touched the lives of hundreds of apprentices. Gerald proudly served as an Apprenticeship Board Member for six years, the last two as Vice-Chair.
Gerald's hope is that this scholarship will provide encouragement to individuals to invest in a career that can be both exciting and rewarding.
