Scholarship Donor - AIT

Roger C.T. Dootson

Donor Since: 2008
Number of Scholarships: 3
Scholarship Information: Roger Dootson Family Scholarships (3)

History:
After finishing high school, Roger Dootson started his career in construction as a labourer, at the age of 17. He soon started an apprenticeship in the carpentry trade, and became a journeyman carpenter in 1977. He remembers the financial worries he had during his apprenticeship training, as a young husband and father.

Roger's son is a journeyman welder, and his daughter is a health, safety, environmental construction professional.

Roger has enjoyed his life in the construction industry, and feels fortunate to be able to provide this scholarship to aid young apprentices in attaining accreditation in this honourable profession.
