Achievement in Business Competencies (Blue Seal) Program
The Achievement in Business Competencies (Blue Seal) Program is a supplemental learning recognition program recognized by the Registrar under section 22(f) of the Apprenticeship Education and Industry Training Programs Regulation. A Blue Seal Certificate is evidence that an individual who holds a trade certificate has continued a path towards business education by acquiring competencies and demonstrates a drive to succeed in managerial, supervisory, entrepreneurial, or other leadership roles.
The program recognizes the completion of supplemental business education programs or courses by an individual person who holds an Alberta journeyperson certificate, an Alberta Occupational Certificate issued under the former Apprenticeship and Industry Training Act, or a recognized credential from another jurisdiction.
A person who meets the requirements of the Achievement in Business Competencies program, as outlined below, may apply to receive a Blue Seal Certificate of Achievement.
