Education-first approach
Officers make regular site visits with the goal of ensuring all stakeholders understand and comply with requirements set out in legislation and provide information on apprenticeship education programs, industry training programs, designated trades, and restricted activities.
Education may take the form of meetings, discussions, workshops, or training on:
- apprenticeship education programs,
- industry training programs,
- designated trades, and
- restricted activities,
While education is a priority for officers, lack of knowledge is not an excuse for non-compliance with the Act or its regulations.
