Consequences for Non-compliance
Individuals or entities found to be non-compliant after receiving a compliance order may be subject to any of the following consequences:
- cancellation of any apprenticeship education agreements to which they are a party,
- cancellation of an apprentice’s registration,
- suspension of a trade certificate for failing to maintain standards of a journeyperson with the imposition of conditions such as the completion of additional training or assessments, or
- revocation of a trade certificate, endorsement, or the recognition of a person’s document issued outside Alberta as equivalent to a trade certificate or endorsement.
