History:
The Red Deer Construction Association (RDCA) is a non-profit trade association that is the collective voice for the commercial and industrial construction industry serving Central Alberta. The RDCA proudly serves over 300 members across various trade and associate companies.

Since 1957, the RDCA has worked hard on behalf of many local companies involved in the construction industry and is very proud of its history of serving and supporting them. As part of the RDCA, members are represented provincially through the Alberta Construction Association (ACA) and federally by the Canadian Construction Association. The RDCA covers one of the largest sections of the province extending from Red Deer - west to the British Columbia border and east to the Saskatchewan border. It also covers the areas north to Wetaskiwin and south to Olds. Our membership continues to be one of the strongest in the province, growing from just slightly over 150 members back in 2004 to over 300 members currently.

The construction industry is an ever adapting and dynamic industry that continues to evolve and change at a rapid pace. The RDCA identifies the importance of this and continues to improve its presence and representation for its members. The RDCA offers our members project information and tendering services (www.coolnetalberta.com), business opportunities and benefits designed to improve their business, safety & educational courses/seminars, and local government advocacy.

It is RDCA's intent to recognize the excellence of Alberta's apprentices and encourages and assists the recipients in their future development in the trades.
